Promoting and supporting the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all aspects of community life for over 63 years.

Norfolk Association for Community Living (N.A.C.L.)

An inclusive life is one where the inherent right of all persons, regardless of their individual circumstances, mirror those rights of every other citizen. It is the embedding in the activities of the community, which are not obstructed by the varying degrees of ability afforded to humanity, where all persons are members.

What Does a Passports Broker Do?

As a recipient of Passport Funding people can choose to use NACL as their broker. This means that we take care of the administration side of things such as submiting all contracts, creating invoices and submitting expenses, plan out a budget for the year and ensure people utilize their funding in the best way possible.

Person Centred Planning

One of our most popular services is Person Centered Planning is where an individual works with a facilitator to identify their personal desires and goals in life. We focus on getting to know what that person feels is most important to them and what they need in their life to be happy. During this planning we want to give people choice, control and independence. We explore areas such as:

- Health and wellbeing

- Friendships and relationships

- Education and employment

 - Independent living goals

- Overall community involvement

The plan will identify goals then outline steps and opportunities to reach achievement. We include what supports are needed for that individual, where that support can come from and what success will look like. We will review throughout the year to ensure that the action plans are being followed and make any adjustments that need to be made.
